dialysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u203b Please note that some dialysis facilities prohibit sitting up or working during treatment in order to prevent low blood pressure.<br>This article is intended as a reference only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Most Common Way to Spend Time During Dialysis: Sleeping<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Many patients choose to <strong>sleep during dialysis<\/strong>, and this is the most common way to pass the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dialysis patients often manage daily life, work, and dialysis treatment all at once, making their schedules physically and mentally demanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For some patients, dialysis time becomes<br>\u201ca rare opportunity to sleep peacefully without interruptions,\u201d<br>and they intentionally use these 4\u20135 hours to rest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, sleeping for long periods during dialysis may make it difficult to sleep at because they can be held and read with one hand.<br>Many patients borrow books from public libraries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some patients also use assistive devices that allow them to read with one on <strong>smartphones or tablets<\/strong>, such as YouTube.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using earphones allows them to enjoy content without disturbing others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many patients also secure their
